WHO WE ARE
Yeakey Alliance, LLC (the Alliance) specializes in evidence-based workforce training program design and job development for high school seniors, adults in career transition, disconnected youth, pre-and post-release incarcerated persons, and the unemployed?
WHAT WE DO
The purpose of the Alliance is four-fold:

Working with local non-profits, educational institutions, associations, community stakeholders, and local employers from the public and private sectors to recruit, train, and deploy a workforce for tomorrow’s jobs.

The training of targeted populations who have not succeeded in more traditional job training programs.

Connecting program participants to middle-skill, Pre-Apprenticeship and apprenticeship training, and employment opportunities; and,

We provide clear career-connected pathway to in-demand, living-wage jobs with opportunities for advancement.

OUR GEOGRAPHY
Over the past three years, the Alliance, in partnership with the Independent Electrical Contractors Chesapeake, Inc, has provided Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical Training and program coordination services to high school seniors and marginalized adults in Howard, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, Charles County, and the District of Columbia.
OUR CREDENTIALS
President and CEO Michael Yeakey has over 45 years of extensive experience administering a broad range of innovative training programs for state, federal, private-sector employers, and community-based organizations. Program development focuses on high-demand occupations in career fields such as construction, hospitality, tourism, transportation, and logistics.

His passion is to design accelerated career training programs that lead to full-time employment in jobs that pay a living wage and act as a gateway to self-sufficiency for marginalized populations.

Mr. Yeakey is a well-respected life skills workshop presenter, facilitator, and job coach. Recently developed a twelve-hour Grooming and Coaching (soft skills training) course for high school seniors. He is recently retired from a twenty-seven-year career at Anne Arundel Community College as the Director of Occupational Skills. During his tenure with the college, he developed and managed a host of middle and soft skills, multi-craft, and apprenticeship programs for a variety of clients (e.g., Maryland Department of Corrections, DLLR, Maryland Job Corps, HUD, DSS, Goodwill of Baltimore, Humana, All-State Careers, Earlbeck Gas Technologies, etc.).
Education and Training

Mr. Yeakey received a B. A from Michigan State University in Sociology and a Master of Arts Degree in Training and Development from Bowie State University. He also participated in the Anne E. Casey Foundation Leadership in Action Program learning Result Based Facilitation (RBF) skills.
Awards and Recognition:
2018 - Received an Executive Citation from Anne Arundel County Executive, Steven R. Schuh, in recognition of outstanding service to the students and citizens of Anne Arundel County.
2016 - “The Chronicle of Higher Education” featured the Job Corps Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical program he administered through AACC with the Independent Electrical Association, Chesapeake as a model of successful programming for disconnected youth.
2013 - Recipient of Anne Arundel Community Colleges’ Student Achievement Success Program Founders Award.
